Proudly presented in conjunction with the MAP Portrait Prize 2024, the Next Gen Portrait Prize is now on upstairs at Mudgee Arts Precinct until Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Sponsored by the Property Shop, the Next Gen Portrait Prize 2024 highlights the remarkable talent of young artists in our region, celebrating the individuals who hold special significance in their lives.

This year’s exhibition features over 150 captivating works that are sure to surprise and delight all who visit the Mudgee Arts Precinct. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the creativity and passion of our youth!

PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD

Cast your vote for People's Choice in the Next Gen Portrait Prize sponsored by the Property Shop. All votes will go in the draw to win an original artwork by renowned Mudgee artist, Michael Bourke.
Voting closes Sunday 12 January.

PRIZE CATEGORIES

Prize categories for the Next Gen Portrait Prize 2024 are as follows:

Preschool and under           
Kindergarten - Year 2          
Year 3 – Year 6
Year 7 – Year 9          
Year 10 – Year 12        
People’s Choice Award        

Winners of each category will receive an art pack to the value of $150.

Saturday 19 October: Exhibition opened to the public

Friday 1 November: 6pm official opening event and winners announced

Wednesday 15 January:  People’s Choice Award announced

Sunday 2 February: Exhibition closes

Monday 10 February: Collection of works
